We are The Andrews!
Hello friends, and welcome to a peek into our crazy lives. We are a tattooed, silly, fun-loving couple that is always on the go, finding unique ways to spend our family time, and get into something new and exciting. We don’t too often plan it all out, just fly by the seat of our pants and it works for our motley crew! With 6 kids ranging in age from 2 to 14 years old, finding something for everyone can sometimes be difficult. But that doesn’t stop us from getting out there and making it happen.
New Beginnings
I believe that each of us has a unique story to tell, a perspective that is waiting to be shared with the world. Writing will allow me to share our lives and experiences, and hopefully touch the hearts of those who stumble upon my blog. We are most definitely a unique family, a few rough edges and tons of charm. After 8 years in the dental industry I finally decided it was high time that I take my life into my own hands. I want to live on my terms along side my husband and with our kids. Life is happening now, it doesn’t wait for us to finally get that promotion or a new job and we can’t wait either. So I am taking a huge leap of faith and I hope to make some new friends along the way.

My new beginning started when I reconnected with my now husband, Trace. At a point in my life when it felt like everything was an uphill battle, my life changed when I least expected it. We needed each other more than we each knew and somehow among the chaos we made something amazing. After that more things began to fall into place, our kids bonded immediately and our family was made complete when we added our youngest into the mix. She brings in a new dynamic to family and we could see more clearly than ever how much love we share in this, a little unconventional, family.
Family
Our kids all have unique and fun personalities. We have 4 daughters and 2 sons. Daisy is 14 and very artistic, she is caring and funny. She hopes to be an art teacher one day. Ava, also very artistic and so goofy and sweet, is 12 and she is has so much character. Liana is 10, very witty and smart, loves anime and her family. Evan is also 10 (no they are not twins) he is into literally everything. From baseball to shooting to any and all video games, this boy is always on the move and cannot stand still. Nico is 9, he is all about the outdoors and loves animals of all kids. He has a very kind heart and acts just like his daddy. Teagan is the baby at 2 years old. She is our wild spirit, with all her dad’s personality and a touch of fearless, we have to accept that she is now in charge of us all! Since she is the only one that we currently have together we recently decided that she is going to need a buddy. Hopefully one that will keep her out of trouble! We are trying for #7 and hoping for a boy. We have names set aside for a boy and a girl, we just want a healthy happy baby, but you can’t deny that with 4 girls already that we are due for another boy. More updates on that to come in our blog.

A little about myself, I am soon to be 36 and I have always been a little outside the box, into tattoos and piercings at a young age, listening to rock and heavy music of the 90’s and early 2000’s. Again, rough around the edges but always with a good heart. Though I have been through a lot, I am a very determined person. Probably something I got from my own mother, she was a brilliant business savvy woman. She passed when I was just 20 and my dad soon followed 4 years later. It had some impact on me to lose them so young, I made some rash decisions but I gained knowledge in my mistakes and it led me here. I am always eager to learn, I truly believe that knowledge is power, the more you know the better off you are. Something is broken, I bet I can fix it. There is a problem, I am there to try to solve it. I like knowing how things work and making things new again.
My husband Trace is also one that has always been outside the box, though unlike me he has always stood out. When I first met him at 15, we were hanging around the same crowd though he could be in any crowd and everyone wanted him around. He was skateboarding all over town and getting into music. He is a talented musician, singer/guitar player. At the time he even asked me to our 10th grade homecoming dance. I had a boyfriend at my previous school, but I still agreed to at least go to the dance. He still skateboards and sings, but those things don’t pay the bills, so he works for a building company that builds homes. He also still stands out, ha! If you meet him once you’re going to remember him. We can hardly go to the grocery store without seeing someone that wants to talk to him. He is the heart of this family and we all lean on him.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little and we look forward to sharing more throughout our blog. Later friends!
